The
Plano Book Festival is an annual event presented by the Collin
County Adult Literacy Council. Our primary goal is to raise
public awareness of the need for literacy services and to engage
the community in helping to provide more opportunities for adults
and families (specially low income ones) to learn English, get their
GED, and access to Adult Basic Education programs (literacy and
up levels).
The 6th Annual Plano Book Festival for Adult Literacy will take place on April 13, 2008 12:00 Noon. to 6:00 PM at the Haggard Park and Courtyard theater, in downtown Plano, Texas. Creative writing contest winners will be announced and prices presented. Tents for book sales, author signings, story telling, children’s events, food, concessions and entertainment will fill the adjacent Haggard Park. All events will be within walking distance of the DART Rail line. This will be a FREE, fun-filled event for the whole family! Mark your calendar now!
